Welcome and thank you for visiting.

I am a NYC based director of music videos, commercials, branded content and narrative short films.

I grew up in Syracuse, NY, well known for overcast skies and cold, snowy winters that form the backdrop of most of the memories of my young life.

On the coldest winter nights the sky would be the clearest allowing thousands upon thousands of distant stars, planets and galaxies to come into view. I would look up at the night sky and dream about infinite vastness, and how small we are in comparison. How many stories and myths created and told over millenia were inspired by that same sky? The famous astronomer Carl Sagan said:

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”

Suddenly, a shaft of sunlight catching a bit of newly fallen snow caught in a swirl of wind becomes a solar system.

Between those millions of lights in the night sky are light years of darkness. I don't confuse darkness for nothingness - in infinite darkness infinite possibilities exist.

"Within light there is darkness,
But do not try to understand that darkness;
Within darkness there is light, But do not look for that light.
Light and darkness are a pair,
Like the foot before and the foot behind, in walking."

I struggle with that bit of the Sandokai - I try to understand the darkness in the light and find the light in the darkness. Like "star stuff," or "the foot before and the foot behind," inspiration is not "out there" or "in here." It is woven throughout all existence.
